SPEC SHEET — REV C
About_
Frontend engineer by trade, maker by default. I like problems where the interface is the product and the failure modes are expensive.
§The work
I'm a Lead Software Engineer at Nike, focused on the web cart and checkout experience. Before leading, I worked my way up through frontend and web application engineering roles on the same class of problems: high-traffic commerce surfaces where performance, accessibility, and reliability aren't nice-to-haves — they're revenue.
Checkout is a strange, great specialty. Every millisecond and every confusing label has a measurable cost, and the best work is often the stuff nobody notices because nothing went wrong.
(Anything more specific than that lives behind an NDA, where it belongs.)
§Specs
| frontend | React, Next.js, modern CSS, performance budgets, a11y |
| elsewhere | Node, Flutter/Dart, offline-first architecture |
| approach | iterate visually, ship small, measure — one concept at a time |
| learning | Japanese (日本語) — enough to have built my own study app |
| garage | a 1992 Jeep Wrangler YJ, a motorcycle, and ongoing fabrication experiments |
§Off the clock
I build physical things with the same loop I use for software: sketch, render, prototype, revise. Recent output includes a custom hardtop design for the Jeep and helmet fabrication work you can read about on the nowpage. When I'm not making something, I'm usually riding or studying kanji.
